Monday, Mar. 31st

A newsletter is coming containing the following info:

First, I would like you to welcome Mrs. Fehst to our classroom who will be teaching on Fridays. She currently is teaching grade 6/7 French in our school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The reason for this change is I was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, I had an adverse reaction to the prescribed medication. As I learn to manage this disease I have decided to decrease my teaching to 4 days a week. Mrs. Fehst has already been in the classroom getting to know the students. She will be responsible for student’s grades in French, Health & Career Education and 20% of their math.

Secondly, from April 7-21st we will have two education students from Thompson Rivers University join us.  Ms. Rutherford and Ms. Oliver have already met the students are excited to start teaching a science and math unit. To assist with their development sometimes the student teachers are taped and/or photographs are taken please sign the attached form pertaining to this.

Thirdly, Ms. Moretti and I have booked gymnastics for April 28th, May 5th and May 12th.  More information will follow closer to the dates.

Lastly, our end of the year field trip is tentatively set for McQueen Lake Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10. As this is an overnight trip, I will need a minimum of 3 men and 2 women to commit. If you would like to volunteer please send a note with your child.  Once the date draws closer I will send out more information.

Young Author's is due Wednesday
